The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organizes the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for individuals aiming to become teachers in central government schools such as Kendriya, Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas. However, the CTET exam will not be conducted in 2025. Instead, the next exam is set for 8th February 2026, as per the announcement made on 24th October 2025. The official notification for the February 2026 session will be released on 25th October 2025 at www.ctet.nic.in, containing all key details like the application procedure, eligibility, important dates, syllabus, and exam structure.
Candidates who qualify will receive a CTET certificate that remains valid for a lifetime. Generally, CTET is held twice a year — in July and December, but for this year, the exam has been postponed until February 2026.
